My family has a history of heart disease so my wife already has me on my toes about staying in shape and eating healthy. I'm very aware of it, get check ups regularly, and try my hardest to exercise and eat well (ice cream....damn you ice cream, why can't you be filled with fiber, fish oils and vitamin c!).
That being said, sometimes it takes the loss of someone close to you or some cultural icons to really wake you up and get you back on track. Today's new of the loss of George Carlin as well as the recent loss of Tim Russert, two men I really enjoyed and respected in very different ways, has gotten me thinking about my ticker again and it should have you thinking too. George wouldn't like ending on a sad note, so if you have time sit back and enjoy one of his most classic pieces of work.
