Today In The News

"It's the economy stupid!" That will be a quote you hear as the election approaches. Everyone is feeling it and it has actually come to this - Starbucks is closing 600 stores, approximately 8.5% of their locations. Who would have thought that the people who could afford a $7 cup of coffee would actually feel the pinch of the economic slowdown?

The above is just another illustration of how the economy will be the deciding factor in this fall's election, not the war. A new poll out yesterday puts Obama and McCain in a dead heat...until the next poll comes out. The uncertainty of the election is doing nothing to help the economy, if one of them would only pull out to a distinguishable lead then maybe people would relax a little bit and start to spend some money.
